NW 128th Street between Hickman Road and University Avenue
NW 128th Street between Hickman Road and University Avenue will be closed to southbound traffic beginning at 9:00 on Tuesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 9th for sanitary sewer construction. A DETOUR will take southbound drivers west along Hickman Road to NW 142nd Street and then east along University Avenue back to NW 128th Street.

13th St from Grand Ave to High St
13th St between Grand Ave and High St will be closed beginning Wednesday, April 23. This is a permanent closure to allow for the construction of the new Wellmark building.
High Street from 10th Street to 12th Street
High Street from 10th Street to 12th Street will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. August 6th due to the High Street Re-alignment project. This closure is expected to last approximately five (5) months. Motorist may use 15th Street to Locust Avenue as an alternative route.

E. 14th Street from Milton Avenue to Henderson Avenue
E. 14th Street from Milton Avenue to Henderson Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction with a center turning lane. These lane closures are necessary for the widening of E. 14th Street and intersection improvements. Construction is expected to last through October.
Indianola Avenue between East Fulton Drive and Pioneer Road
Indianola Avenue between East Fulton Drive and Pioneer Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning September 4th due to construction of a box culvert across Indianola Avenue. Construction is expected to last eight (8) weeks.
Ingersoll Avenue area
Ingersoll Avenue will experience periodic lane closures due to the Ingersoll Avenue Streetscape Project. Construction is expected to last through Thanksgiving.
Pleasant Street between 9th Street and 10th Street
Pleasant Street between 9th Street and 10th Street will be closed beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3rd for crane setup. The closure is expected to last through Sunday, October 5th.
Park Street between 7th Street and 8th Street
Park Street between 7th Street and 8th Street will be closed beginning Monday, October 6th for construction of the Principal parking garage. Construction is expected to last approximately four (4) weeks.
E. Locust Street between E. 3rd Street and E. 6th Street
E. Locust Street between E. 3rd Street and E. 6th Street will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 8th for the U.S. Cellular World Food Festival. The street will reopen on Monday, October 13th at 6:30 a.m.

E. 4th Street between E. Grand Avenue and E. Walnut Street will be closed beginning at 9:00 a.m., Friday, October 10th for the U.S. Cellular World Food Festival. The street will reopen on Monday, October 13th at 6:30 a.m.

E. First Street (NW 70th Street) from U.S. Highway 141 to NW 107th Street
E. First Street (NW 70th Street) from U.S. Highway 141 to NW 107th Street will be closed beginning September 10th for reconstruction. This closure is expected to last through November 7th.
City of Urbandale
128th St from Aurora Ave to Meredith Dr
The City of Urbandale will be reconstructing 128th Street from Aurora Avenue to Meredith Drive during the 2008 construction season. Starting on Monday, June 16, 2008, at approximately 8:30 am, 128th Street will be closed to all through traffic from Douglas Parkway to Meredith Drive.
Meredith Drive between NW Urbandale Drive and 112th Street
Meredith Drive between NW Urbandale Drive and 112th Street will experience a westbound lane closure beginning Wednesday, September 24th due to a road widening project. Construction is expected to last approximately one month.
70th Street at Hickman Road
70th Street south of Hickman Road will be closed on Monday, October 6th. 70th Street north of Hickman Road will be closed on Tuesday, October 7th. The closures are due to the cities of Windsor Heights and Urbandale widening the intersection at 70th Street and Hickman Road. Motorist should use 73rd Street during construction. The road is expected to reopen on Wednesday morning.

Jordan Creek Parkway at Stagecoach Drive
Jordan Creek Parkway at Stagecoach Drive will experience lane closures beginning on Monday, September 15th. This is due to the West Des Moines Median Project. Construction is expected to last approximately one month.

Mills Civic Parkway at I-35 will experience lane closures beginning Friday, September 12th due to the Mills Civic Parkway Interchange Improvement Project. Construction is expected to last approximately one month.

Grand Avenue between Ridgewood Drive and the river bridge will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 1st for street pipe work. The closure is expected to last approximately two (2) months.

U.S. Highway 163 between NE 88th Street and the Metro Park East Landfill
U.S. Highway 163 between NE 88th Street and the Metro Park East Landfill is head to head traffic on the westbound side of the highway due to the construction on the Mud Creek and Camp Creek bridges and sight distance improvements being made to the roadway. During construction NE 91st Street will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic. NE 108th Street will be closed to southbound traffic. Construction is expected to last through fall.
